Campo Alegre is located in beautiful Nosara, in the province of Guanacaste on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica.
This is the perfect destination for singles, couples and families seeking a relaxed and carefree vacation. If that is not reason enough to visit, consider that Playa Guiones, a breathtaking, pristine stretch of white sand beach, is an easy stroll along a gorgeous tree-shaded lane. As you walk to the beach you may be accompanied by howler monkeys high in the trees that delight in announcing their presence as they travel above you. Your destination, Playa Guiones, is one of the premiere surfing beaches in all of Costa Rica.
Four houses, each private and unique, comprise Campo Alegre's two acres. Three of the houses are available for rent. The fourth is occupied by your host, Linda Cox, an American ex-pat who lives year round in Nosara. Linda is an avid bird watcher and horsewoman, and is your source for detailed information about the area. Ask Linda anything and she will have an answer!
All three houses are air conditioned and feature Costa Rican hardwoods with elegant hand carved details. Each house may be rented individually or together for a family or group gathering up to 13. Campo Alegre is a magical place for a family who wish to vacation together yet maintain individual privacy. Ask about group rates for all three houses! Rates for the individual houses are listed to the left on each page. Minimum rental is 3 nights. Long term rental will be considered, please ask!
During your stay you have access to the full size, brand new lap pool, completed in 2006, the perfect remedy for soothing overheated muscles and sunburned skin after a long day at the beach. Adjacent to the pool is a regulation, lighted tennis court for your use.
Linda oversees a friendly menagerie of horses, dogs, cats, turkeys and chickens. A few may wander in now and then to offer a sincere "Bienvenidos!"
Horses on the property are privately boarded with us and are not for rent. But three times a year we combine efforts with Bocas Nosara Tours, the best and most experienced horse tour guides in the area, (http://bocanosaratours.com) and offer a 10 day holiday that includes 5 nights at Campo Alegre and 4 nights horse trek.
